Lipgloss and Black are changing the way you look at your
closet. If you have ever looked at pieces you already own and have the urge to
change it up a bit, this eccentric duo has some great ideas to get you going.
Sylvia and Sam have mastered the art of clothes reconstruction;
where you take a previously loved article of clothing and making it something
completely new and exciting. The Canadian born sisters are the founders of
Lipgloss and Black, an independent online clothing store where the girls share their
creative flair with original pieces ranging from comfy over-the shoulder skull
cut out sweaters to leggings with bold enough patterns to make a statement anywhere.
Not only do they make their pieces available for admirers to
purchase online via Etsy, they
have a great Do-It-Yourself (DIY) feature on their blog that lets you get
cutting to and manipulating old pieces before you decide to donate them to the
local Value Village.
With the cold fall coming up, click here for a step-by-step tutorial from Sylvia on how to make a simple toque into a warm fashion-forward cozy turban.
Sylvia and Sam’s ability to uniquely be themselves has
gained them a nice little space in the online fashion madness. Chictopia.com, an online
fashion go-to has their DIY tutorials on their “Everybody is Ugly” blog.

Thanks so much for the feature, Amber! We're flattered! :)
