Jailed for Their Beliefs

Imagine you lived in place where you had to follow one belief; you had no freedom of speech, and if you fail to follow, then persecution will take action. This place is called China, it still happens today.
In 1992, Mr. Li Hongzhi first taught Falun Dafa/Gong publicly in the city of China and then continued to lecture all across China. By 1998, at least 70 million people were practicing in China alone. Today it is practiced by over 100 million people in over 100 countries.

What is Falun Dafa/Gong?
It is an ancient traditional Chinese meditation, exercise and teaching. It is a unique way to improve the body, mind, and spirit. It’s well known for its slowing moving and relaxing gentle movements, which often has incredible effects on heath. Falun Gong has helped people sleep better, get well, minimize stress, and become happier.

“My doctor can’t believe how much it has changed my health.”

Chinese Communist Party (CCP) forbids Falun Gong

Falun Gong is persecuted in china

1. CCP restrains freedom of religion and thought:
Must join official, government-run “patriotic churches,” or risk persecution. Baptism and Roman Catholicism are illegal.

2. Top communist leader grew resentful of Falun Gong’s widespread popularity:

Chinese leader, Jiang Zemin saw Falun Gong and its popularity a challenge to his moral authority over the Chinese people – the practice was rooted in people’s hearts and history, unlike the communist doctrine.

For decades the CCP has persecuted different groups through political movements. Some are targeted because they are outside Party control or have their own ideology. Therefore Falun Gong falls into that category because of its spiritual techniques, sense of community, and independent network.

Things to know about the CCP

· The CCP regime, built on control and coerce, felt threatened by the Buddhist practice

· Thousands of practitioners die of torture, starvation, and violence at the hands of CCP

· Their extreme violence and constant shaping of thoughts are what torturers call "re-education"

· CCP officials still using "suicide" to cover-up murders of Falun Gong practitioners

· Millions are being held on jail or concentration camps

· Most corpses are incinerated to destroy evidence or used for organ harvesting

“Coercion cannot change people’s heart,” Mr. Li Hongzhi.
