Steve Jobs: iWin


Ever since there has been RIM, there has been Apple. They have been neck and neck in a race to be the best mobile smartphone out there. Regardless of which side you are on I guarantee you are passionate about your phone and the choice you made to have it. Are you #TeamiPhone or #TeamBlackBerry? Who is going to rise and who is going to fall?



BlackBerry:


      • BlackBerry Messenger
      • Flash in mobile browser
      • Physical keyboard
      • Cheaper phones
      • Wide variety of models
      • Social
      • media integration and applications

iPhone:







There are reasons to chose either one and until recently it seemed like both smartphone companies were doing rather well. That is until RIM had a worldwide network crash. Funny enough that it happened two days before Apple's newest iPhone, the 4s goes on sale. RIM is not looking to good and has not been for a while.



Why I believe it is just a matter of time before Apple prevails is because of there dedication to customer service and because they listen to their consumers and what they want. Apple's products are about innovation and future technology.

    • Apple holds Keynotes every year when they unveil their new products
    • They talk to their consumers, they listen and they make them feel like family
    • Apple watches Twitter, Facebook and RSS feeds noting likes and dislikes of consumers


Apple will eventually overtake RIM because ironically, they use social media to be human to consumers.

  1. Do you agree with me, that not necessarily Apple will over take RIM but that RIM will eventually become a clear second?
  2. Do you think differently about Apple? (I am clearly biased towards the subject) Why or why not?

    I am a blackberry user, but I do not use BBM. I deleted the function over a year ago because it annoyed me how people know if you have read their message or not. That being said, the network crash didn't bother me...but, I still want an iPhone. You've convinced me David!

    I used to have a BlackBerry, and never knew about BBM until after I made the switch to the iPhone. Honestly, after you make the change there is no turning back. Nothing beats the simplicity of the iPhone!
    I like that iMessage automatically detects who has the function, but it isn't nearly as invasive as BBM.
    Am I sometimes a little annoyed when apps crash? Yes. But I think it's great that Apple encourages app creators to create updates so the programs run effectively with the newer iOS!
    As far as Apple taking over RIM, it is a definite possibility. RIM is no longer the power phone for business--I've seen a lot of business people make the switch in recent years...
